Backpacking Light Tips

If you do not backpack, backpacking, or light or heavy, you may have heard the usual advice about bringing a first aid kit, the more water, tell someone where you are going, and so on. This is all good advice, but the following six tips are less common ideas, and is aimed especially those who really want to stay light: ultralight backpacker.

You will notice that the tips are wilderness areas to survive with them to have. That’s because in addition to the usual solution to light backpacking – buy lightweight equipment – know how to get by with less is a great way to lose weight safely. Lean a few tricks and you can carry less.

1. Conditioned tents. If the day is dry and hot, damp cloth every major section in a nearby stream and put it on the roof of the tent. Evaporation cools the interior of the tent by ten degrees (set the tent in the shade, of course). Just be sure that if you use a shirt or other clothing that you need, you have enough time before dark to make it completely dry.

2. Lost and hungry? In many mountain streams you can see the trout, but it’s hard to catch. Try a simple fish. Pound stick to the bottom of the river, weaving in and stick them to make a wall that the water can go through, but no fish. Making small beads by opening narrowed, you can hunt in the fish. Once they are there, you can spear them or maybe just turn on the flow bench with your hands.

3. If you carry a hand sanitizer when backpacking (easier than washing), may be used as a fire starter as well. They are usually at least 70% and alcohol flammable.

4. Walking to the bush? Tea from the roots of blackberries, raspberries and their families can stop diarrhea. Fill the bottom of the cup with the cleaned and shredded roots and pour boiling water over them.Steep for five minutes before drinking.

5. Lost your backpack? A simple way to make the backpack is to use a coat when it is warm enough to get by without wearing them. Zip it, won under closed as a string (or pin closed), and tie the cuffs together. You can then winding through the things in your body, shoulder diagonal switch from time to time.

6. Would you like to kiss an ultra-light? Use heavy-duty zip-filled plastic bag (do not overfill) with air. Put on a sweater or something soft for comfort.

Knowledge saves weight. For example, you can coat the house (except for emergency poncho two-ounce), if you are in the eastern Sierra Nevada in September – because it almost never rains. You can use the sleeping bag just about going on a summer tour in some parts. Light backpacking is easier and safer than with a little more knowledge.
